Do we provide ourselves with enough time to just be? Trimming away the distractions and the stimulation and the nonstop [fill in the blank]? Do you? Do I?

I like waiting at the airport because it gives me time to reflect, to write, to watch – safely stranded. I like to see how people choose to use this time – many occupying it with external stimuli: the cell phone, the ipod, the tv, the book ~ enjoying the opportunity for someone or something to entertain them.
