This piece was absolutely required of me after a discussion with my friend of the "cry it out" sleep method. Imagine what must be going through the mind and body of a baby left to cry in their bed for hours? At some point they do reach complete emotional and physical exhaustion and crash into sleep. My skin crawls when I think of this.
