From The Artist:
Losing my Dad at the age of 20, I’m naturally drawn to situations featuring Father & Daughter. For reasons of healing, essences of my Dad showed up in many of my early pieces.

Recently, while on a long journey from Portland to Stockholm, I saw something in a Father/Daughter pair. Attracted to their sweet relationship, I couldn’t help but structure a painting around several sketches I made of them on the plane.

One thing I love about art is its ability to connect people who may have not otherwise met. I suddenly was blessed with the openness to introduce myself.
