"Focus"
Acrylic on Cradled Board
30x24"
September 2007
From The Artist:
The specks represent the moving, busy atmosphere of life surrounding us...
Not only is she parting the sea of distraction with her focus, but her hair acts as a shield - deflecting the chaos and its effects from her innocent sleeping child.
She's moving ahead, despite being a mother - keeping her child closely tucked, yet continuing to strive and aspire.
My first painting on deep cradled gessobord (see left) and the unstained 2" Birch edges
are lovely.
