I can’t believe it’s time to release the 100th painting in the ECC! I started the Everyday Connection Collection (ECC) in November of 2013 (this is the largest of approximately 7 collections, see them all, here), and have released an original mini painting almost every Thursday morning, since.
With this collection, my intention is to capture the opportunities we have in everyday life, to connect with our child, or another small person in our lives. I believe it is the small moments… the 15 minutes reading together on the couch, the series of small kisses along a sleepy brow, the warm hand to hold, our response to a question, a fear or a need ~ that make such a difference in our children’s lives.
My hope is that my paintings inspire you to take a moment and breathe, to stop in your “day-to-day-busy” and look down at the little face close to your hip (or knee!)… to realize that how we use our moments can make such a difference in how a child sees the world. Does that make sense? I don’t talk about it too often, I get swept up in creating and sharing, but REALLY, that is what it all means to me. I’m not good at putting it into words ~ so okay, I’ll go back to painting now 🙂
The 100th painting in the Everyday Connection Collection is called Unlike Any Other ~ this is the third painting created from one sketch… one small sketch that I stumbled upon in my studio and instantly loved. I don’t remember creating it ~ but I’m happy I found it. The first two paintings created from this sketch have sold ~ and Unlike Any Other is available, while she lasts, here. She is a one-of-a-kind painting on canvas, 8×8″ for $185.
Here are her sisters (you can find prints of these pieces here):
Thank you for everything, have a WONDERFUL day. Wanna chat live on Facebook? I’ll see you there.
Love & Sincerely, Katie
